Electrical/Arc Flash Safety Training
OSHA 1910.332 states that all employees that are or can be exposed to electrical hazards shall be trained on these hazards.
NFPA 70E “Electrical Safety in the Work Place” is used as a guide to meet the intent of OSHA 1910.332.
This course meets the requirements stated in NFPA 70E and OSHA 1910.332.
The class is approximately 4 hrs. in length. The class focuses on the requirements to establish an “electrical safe working condition” and the hazards associated with establishing this condition. The class is broken into two parts with a break in between. Each half is approximately 1.5 hrs. in length and 30 minutes is allowed for the test. The purpose of the test is to ensure participants understand the training content. The test should become part of their permanent records for future reference and review.
This course basically covers the requirements, steps, PPE, and knowledge required to establish an electrical safe working condition as defined by NFPA 70E.
